The last sentence—"DECLARATORY ACT was made in 1776"—should this be here?

When I came to this article I was looking for more information on the declaratory act, but instead I find more info on the stamp act. This article needs to be more specific and explain exactly what the declaratory act involved.

The reason I put so information about the repeal of the Stamp Act is because the repeal is historically intertwined with the Declaratory Act.Sjmcfarland 00:16, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

what are the effects on the colonists? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.107.22.65 (talk) 01:40, 26 September 2007 (UTC) Hannah banana boo-boo bear — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.98.180.86 (talk) 01:18, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The main effect on the colonists was the fact that the British Parliament thought it help absolute control over the colonies due to there being no revolt over this act. 2602:304:68B5:D360:9801:4365:5692:E8BA (talk) 01:55, 23 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
