Nobody ever identified St. Photine with St. Junia

[edit]

The article read: "The Orthodox Church in America organization identifies their convert Fotina as Junia, a friend of the Apostle Paul." This statement is incorrect, it is deleted. Evidently, the editor has misread or hastily read the quoted text (Who is Junia?). In this article, Junia, a female apostle, is compared to other women "like the Samaritan woman" She never says that she is identical, which is understandable because Orthodox tradition considers that said woman was named Saint Photine.

There are bibliographical sources, often in languages other than English, where you can find references for Domnina. Gustavo Rubén (talk) 13:59, 1 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
