Added citation re. quote taken from the BBC website: "Comparing his best performances long before the Athens Olympics of 1896 leads one to imagine him capable of winning seven gold, a silver, and a bronze medal". The BBC page (http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/sportscotland/asportingnation/article/0015/) says "This page was last updated in December 2005", which appears to pre-date the addition of this line to Wikipedia, so have quoted the BBC line and cited it as the source.Australia1788 (talk) 20:56, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure how you edit this site. however, James fleming won the championship in 1870. Was the only man to break Dinnie's winning streak as the Scottish champion — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.6.223.18 (talk) 03:29, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

My great Grandfather, Currie the Clugger (clog maker) also beat Donald Dinnie, 3 times in fact, and after that Mr Dinnie refused to fight him.

Working with Aberdeen Museum to get images of medals. Text already added, image coming soon. Tag2021 (talk) 16:30, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
