Speed Limit

[edit]

Why is the speed limit on the bridge 45 MPH? Yet traffic flows at at least 70 mph over the bridge that seems to have constant construction delays for little or negative progress. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.136.126.165 (talk) 01:27, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • In regards to the message above, the External links section currently links to a 404 and I have not yet located the pdf file it used to link to. If anyone else is able to locate and fix the dead link, it would be appreciated. I believe that the Edison Bridge page links to the same file, so finding the link and replacing it in multiple locations would be best. --Brtw2 (talk) 18:16, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Widest bridge?

[edit]

The article currently states that the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway and Sydney Harbour Bridge are now wider than the Driscoll Bridge, but neither one of those has 15 travel lanes, from what I can tell. This also conflicts with what is stated at the top of the article, where it says that the Driscoll Bridge is the widest bridge in the world by travel lanes.
