Tom Brady

[edit]

Tom Brady initially endorsed Trump in mid September but has retracted that statement in late September saying he "didn't mean to endorse Donald Trump"[1] --ShadowDragon343 (talk) 5:50, 20 October 2015 (UTC)

Yes, they can

[edit]

Apparently, Endorsements for the Democratic Party presidential primaries, 2016 is not the only page that has problems with staying below the template include size limit. But the result is the same, even here, at Endorsements for the Republican Party presidential primaries, 2016. When you are above the limit, the bottom of the page is no more correctly displayed. In this respect, the idea of replacing full urls by templates and templates was not the best possible. When you create overflows, the first thing to disappear are the references. The page template size is exceeded!

[edit]

Due to the large amount of information (text & references) in the page, this page got the warning of Category:Pages where template include size is exceeded. And now the Reference list is not shown in the article. For solving the problem, one suggestion is to completely move the endorsements of 14 withdrawn candidates into their own presidential campaign pages. And then show their endorsements in this page like below:

Jeb Bush (withdrawn)

[edit]

Background: Jeb Bush (born in 1953) was the 43rd Governor of Florida (1999–2007). He was raised in Texas, where his brother, George was governor (1995–2000) and his father, George H. W. Bush, was a representative (1967–1971). He was a Texas banker (1974–1979) and Florida real estate developer (1980–1986) before entering politics. He suspended his campaign on February 21, 2016.

What do you think? If agreed, we can do that for 14 withdrawn candidates and solve the Wikipedia template size problem. Koorosh1234 (talk|contribs) 13:24, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear User:Koorosh1234. Obviously, you are right. But the problem can be stated otherwise. Apparently, part of the contributors don't care at all about these 1336 damned references that are the main cause of the template overflow at the present page, so that simply deleting them would solve the problem, and allow a lot of other totally unknown people to be listed for having tried to help the victory of a potential winner. There is perhaps another part of the contributors who thinks that some of these references could be valuable. They simply have to take all the editorial decisions that will allow the references to reappear. Pldx1 (talk) 13:47, 27 March 2016 (UTC).[reply]
