Engaged Scholarship

[edit]

This section appears to have redundant definitions that could be consolidated into one, clearer definition. The placement of "Ethical Participatory Research" seems out of place, as it is not made immediately clear in the article whether this is a form of Engaged Scholarship, or something else entirely. The word ethical also merits further exposition, as it is not established how or why it is ethical in the first place. It may be useful to create a section called "Types of Engaged Scholarship," and place different strategies being utilized by educational programs. Ethical Participatory Research could then be moved there and explained further.

Engaged Scholarship in Practice

[edit]

This paragraph is unclear, as it references only UC Berkeley by name, though from looking at citations, other university programs are briefly mentioned without making it clear which university the program is at. The last sentence should be the first sentence of the paragraph.
