Tico Tico video from Bathing Beauty film

[edit]

i would like to put up a reference video from the movie Bathing Beauty to demonstrate Ethel's style of playing the organ. the video clip is uploaded at youtube and shows Ethel playing Tico Tico. i disagree to the statement that Ethel plays in a "pop style" and i think this video demonstrates that her style of playing is much more of inventive and impressive character. —83.88.171.34‎ (talk) 20:55, 25 March 2008

I posted a "fair use" audio sample of her famous recording, to demonstrate her musical style. —Patrug (talk) 23:34, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ethel Smith namesakes

[edit]

There is an Ethel Smith credited on the hit single Love is Strange (by Mickey & Silvia). It is by the well-known Ethel Smith or it is by another person with the same name? --Melly42 (talk) 06:32, 14 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This Ethel Smith was Bo Diddley's second wife, not the organist. —Patrug (talk) 07:12, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yet another Ethel Smith (actress "Ethel Smith II" in IMDB) was Roy Atwell's third wife and the mother of June Carol Atwell. —Patrug (talk) 02:12, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
