This, File:Macau flag.gif, is the actual flag being used in Macau. Why change into the original version which is not being used????--HeiChon~XiJun 13:45, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, could you please explain at commons:Commons talk:WikiProject Flags what needs to be changed so that is accurate? Thanks a lot! —Nightstallion (?) 19:47, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The difference between the two versions and why the current version is used would be a good thing to be covered in the article. --Kvasir 08:35, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The change was straight line became smooth curve so that it looks better. The reason is nothing special XD.--HeiChon 11:30, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. The flag that the page is currently using is wrong --Kfsung 12:18, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why there is no actual flag in the section '1993 Proposals'? There is the column for the flags and table header text 'Flag' but no flags. 82.141.119.195 (talk) 17:19, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Still nothing in that column. Why not just delete that column, or are the flags somewhere or is somebody doing them? 85.217.50.139 (talk) 00:16, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

move and split

[edit]

There was no consensus for the overly-bold split-off by the copy-paste without attribution (which happens to WP:COPYVIO) AND the complete change of scope of the overview article Flag of Macau to only contain historical flags. Two reasons why it's now reverted and I've requested a technical move back. --Cold Season (talk) 19:34, 30 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

disagree with the reason mentioned that you should respect to the government's official name that not making common name for that.--TINHO (talk) 07:38, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
WP:COMMONNAME is a standard wikipedia guideline. In addition, it's not like the government doesn't use the name Macau. It's on the airport as people fly in. CMD (talk) 10:01, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) Quoting Wikipedia's policy on article titles:

Wikipedia does not necessarily use the subject's "official" name as an article title; it prefers to use the name that is most frequently used to refer to the subject in English-language reliable sources.

So in order to get support for your page move, you should prove that English-language sources generally call the flag "Regional Flag of the Macau Special Administrative Region" rather than just "Flag of Macau". SiBr4 ("CyberFour") (talk) 10:11, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Which flag was used by Macau in sporting events before the 1999 handover?

[edit]

I find that every articles in Wiki that contains the competition records of Macau before 1999 are using the flag of Portugal , for example, Macau national football team, and 1986 FIFA World Cup qualification (AFC), etc. But this article says that Macau used this flag: in sporting events between 1975 to 1999. Which is correct? Cirolchou (talk) 06:27, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bridge image

[edit]

I wanted to insert a picture of the Governor Nobre de Carvalho bridge in a perspective similar to that of the flag but no one at the commons:Category:Ponte_Governador_Nobre_de_Carvalho seems suitable. --Error (talk) 11:44, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
