I cleaned up the english of this page but it definitely needs expanding and a more technical basis of things like the cause of choking. When I find my gas dynamics book maybe I'll do a bit more work here.

[edit]

This page infrige my copyright and it was done by user EMBaero. There are several terms that are doing the same.

This is reply to Mr. EMBaero,

this mr. EMBaero statements.

'Please be my guest if you want to file a dispute - I am not afraid to bring these issues before an administrator. To me, it just looks like you took some of the old compressible flow books and copied the equations from them. If those equations are copied from any of the compressible flow authors that I know, I will tell them to pursue plagiarism charges. Judging from what else Google brings up about you, I know you are no stranger to lawsuits.

This is my reply

While you claim that I plagiarized many books (thousand, I assume), you manged to infringe my copyrights. You can notice the several terms in Wikipodia are replica or derivatives of and from my book (see for example the term: gas dynamics).

my:

The main difference between compressible flow and almost incompressible flow is not the fact that compressibility has to be considered. Rather, the difference is in two phenomena that do not exist in incompressible flow.\\ and more statements.

Wikipodia

The unique aspects of gas dynamics include two phenomena that do not appear in other branches of fluid mechanics. These phenomena are waves (normal shocks , oblique shock and expansion waves) and choking flow (isentropic, isothermal choking).

and more similar statements

By the way, do you know that this is my original idea to explain the uniqueness of compressible flow? Do you think that it is appropriate to use my material and remove all reference to my book. Or you simply believe that you can hide, and no one can do anything about it. Maybe the copyright law does not applied to you as it apply to others especially for me?

Gas Dynamics (Gasdynamics) Vs Compressible Flow

[edit]

The terms Gasdynamics and Compressible flow are synonymous and is often used interchangeably. Therefore, it is a good idea to merge the article on Gasdynamics with Compressible flow page and redirect gasdynamics page to compressible flow. At present both the articles are not in godd shape and need a thorough rewrite. A. Salih (talk) 15:09, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merger of Gas dynamics and Compressible flow

[edit]

As correctly pointed out by A. Salih 6 years ago, these terms are synonymous. A merger notice has been added to both pages pointing here for discussion. Moreover, both articles currently fail to provide a proper encyclopedia-style overview of the topic for the general literate reader. Two colleagues and I will attempt to do that, and to illustrate the resulting article with images and necessary diagrams, many of which are already available on Wikimedia. Discussion is welcome. Following a 1-year period with no objection (or discussion), Compressible Flow and Gas Dynamics will now be merged into a single Compressible Flow topic. Henceforth "gas dynamics" will be redirected to the updated Compressible Flow topic. Some of the current content of Gas Dynamics will be kept, but its content is brief and really more aimed at gas kinetics, which is a separate topic. This article needs attention

[edit]

< This article needs attention from an expert in Physics >

It seeems to this reader that it needs attention first fron an expert in plain ordinary English.

Why is the article 'Gas kinetics'? The word 'kinetics' appears exactly twice, once in the title and once as the second word in the lede.
