How long the water takes to get to springs.

[edit]

According to materials at the springs, the water takes something like 3 years to go from the mountains to the river. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Russellkanning (talkcontribs) 16:26, 11 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Um, more like about 50 years. Montanabw(talk) 02:13, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Add a section or make a page on the state park?

[edit]

Would it be possible to add a section or make a linked page describing the state park itself? This page focuses only on a single feature of the Giant Springs State Park (the springs), yet there are a lot more things to do (fishing, hiking, biking, etc) and to see (wildlife, birds, the overlooks, the falls, 4200 acres of land to explore, etc) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Giantspringsstatepark (talkcontribs) 16:45, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think that the park has so much more going on that it would benefit from a separate article. The title currently redirects here, but you can go here and remove the redirect and make it a stand-alone article. You can use First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park as a model if you want and I'd be glad to lend a hand. One caveat, be careful not to copy and paste directly from the FWP web site, as WP takes copyright violations quite seriously and Montana State Government materials are NOT in the public domain. And FYI, there are more photos of the park at this link. Montanabw(talk) 20:59, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
