In the history of this tournament does anyone know if it has always been sponsored by Shell and called the Shell Houston Open and if not what was it called previously and who was the sponsor? YborCityJohn (talk) 19:10, 29 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Other names and sponsors can be found in the Winners section, e.g. "Houston Coca-Cola Open" in 1983-84. Tewapack (talk) 19:19, 29 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@User:Tewapack ok so would it be appropriate it create a section this incorporate this information as part of the article? Seems to be the case with articles like Arnold Palmer Invitational which was previously know as the Bay Hill Invitational etc... which has mention of the past sponsors. YborCityJohn (talk) 20:36, 1 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that would be appropriate. Tewapack (talk) 20:49, 1 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
