The "Oprah" of quilting, founder of a company which is the largest shipper of pre-cut fabric pieces in the world, and the largest private employer in Caldwell county, Missouri is not important/significant-sounding enough? X[[User: |Ottawahitech]] (talk) 16:34, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I support this, a quick Google search reveals a WSJ article (http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702303277704579349133544709954), a Kansas City newspaper article (http://www.kansascity.com/2013/07/13/4343339/missouri-star-quilt-co-is-a-pattern.html) and probably more. Definitely notable, I will try to spend some time later adding some sources. Mrfrobinson (talk) 17:58, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Drmies: Thanks for encouraging others to add material to this article. I tried to click on the links you provided above, but am unable to see any text content. However I found a relevant You Tube channel which I added as an external link. Is that allowed? Ottawahitech (talk) 15:13, 31 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Ottawahitech, I suppose it depends on the link. I don't know why these two aren't working; I typically don't add links if they don't go anywhere. Who knows. That WSJ link is still working, and there's this from NBC (I can't see it because I blocked the two million scripts on that page). Wait--that's almost the same URL; perhaps the last set of numbers in the URL I pasted is faulty? Drmies (talk) 15:23, 31 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Drmies: Unfortunately I am also unable to view the WSJ article, which Mrfrobinson had volunteered to add back in February (see above). Ottawahitech (talk) 15:48, 31 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I bet this page was created by the lady herself. What a great way to promote her business.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:30a:2e5e:e000:91dd:9252:863:d9e7 (talkcontribs) 19:47, 9 January 2016‎

Only one problem with this theory: I started this article on Wikipedia. I am not Jenny Doan and have never met her. Ottawahitech (talk) 00:58, 27 January 2016 (UTC)please ping me[reply]

Another ref, this one from NPR (may 2015) http://www.npr.org/2015/05/21/408452759/one-family-revitalizes-a-small-town-with-yes-quilts

I see an unsigned comment by Mrfrobinson in the thread above. I seem to vaguely remember a bot who signed unsigned comments on talkpages. Has this bot been discontinued? Just curious. Ottawahitech (talk) 14:39, 1 February 2015 (UTC) : Weird: Looks like the comment is signed? How did that happen? Ottawahitech (talk) 16:40, 29 November 2015 (UTC)please ping me[reply]
