Basadre's mother's second last name

[edit]

Hello! What was Basadre's mother's second last name: "Prividal", as it is shown here, or "Butler", as it is shown at es.wikipedia? Thanks a lot for reading this. Best wishes!—Alpinu (talk) 04:57, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Her name was Olga Grohmann Pividal (no "r" in "Pividal). Her mother's name was Modesta Pividal Butler. I'm not sure why the confusion exists, but reliable sources like William Skuban have the information. Zora Carvajal does a good background of Olga Grohmann in her book "Tacna: Historia y Folklore" (1954). Regards.--MarshalN20 | Talk 19:57, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK. The article in Spanish needs a change, then (It's Olga Grohmann Butler there). Thanks a lot for the info. Cheerio!--Alpinu (talk) 18:22, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
