Kara (British band)Kara (band) – See thread on Talk:Kara (South Korean group)#Requested move 2 September 2022. It has been suggested on that talk page that this article be moved to Kara (band). RapMonstaXY (talk) 11:42, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Support per WP:BANDDAB, and as the suggester. – robertsky (talk) 11:59, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Kara has also been called a "band". So the ambiguation is not helpful. In any case, how is removing "British" from the lesser known group meant to decrease inconvenience to the K-Pop fans. Think about the main objectives of WP:TITLE. In ictu oculi (talk) 12:35, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per In ictu oculi's reasoning above. Some people refer to musical groups as bands even if they don't do their own instrumentation — thus, someone could easily assume that an article titled "Kara (band)" might be about "Kara (South Korean group)". This change (that removes necessary clarification / parts of disambiguation) doesn't make it easier for anyone to find the page on either the British band OR the South Korean group. Paintspot Infez (talk) 01:30, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose as above. Disambiguation needs to disambiguate! These groups are very commonly referred to as girl/boy bands, whether they play instruments or not. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:06, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
