What the?

[edit]

Seems like people have abused this page, it says "She is also crap" << What's that about? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamiec2008 (talkcontribs) 00:06, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure why it says that in the article, but you may want to ask your question at the Wikipedia: Questions article. CPGirlAJ (talk) 20:09, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A problem I see

[edit]

I see that a user was blocked for blanking this article, and I do understand why page blanking is generally discouraged. However, I must say, this article has no references and the template at the top says - correctly - that "Unsourced or poorly sourced material about living persons must be removed immediately, especially if potentially libelous or harmful. (April 2008)". We can't have it both ways: do we want to punish people for helping us to deal with the serious problem of BLPs?

I am tempted to blank the article myself, to make the point more forcefully. But for now I will just comment here in the interest of generating a more productive approach than blocking people for doing exactly what the template at the top of the page says to do.--Jimbo Wales (talk) 00:05, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have redone the article, removing unsourced material and hence the tag. It can still be expanded, so I have added a stub tag. She is unquestionably notable so it is important to have sopmething even if it were just a link to her Big Ass show. Thanks, SqueakBox 14:37, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
She recently wrote an article asserting that just being alive makes one "notable", and that everyone (and their brother) should be allowed a Wikipedia page, just like Facebook. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.52.192.26 (talk) 14:39, 23 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Her assertion does not change our policy. Further, unless said article is written about in secondary sources, it isn't notable enough to mention here. —C.Fred (talk) 15:19, 23 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think that was the point, that she does not (nor, by extension, her boosters) truly understand the idea of being "notable". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.102.206.72 (talk) 12:30, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A History of Stuff

[edit]

Katy Brand is going to be doing a radio series entitled "A History of Stuff" to be broadcast in June 2019. This could be mentioned in the article. Vorbee (talk) 17:32, 5 June 2019 (UTC) The first edition of this programme looked at the history of the toothbrush and was broadcast on Radio 4 on June 5 2019 (the programme is, in fact, called "The Origin of Stuff"). English former Christians

[edit]

Should Katy Brand be added to the category called "English former Christians"? Vorbee (talk) 16:16, 19 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notable grandmother

[edit]

As per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Violet_Brand ; seems no reason this shouldn't be added? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.109.217.17 (talk) 03:15, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
