Hello Wikipedia Community,

I am a freelance writer and was hired by Kayvan Khalatbari to revise his Wikipedia page. I completed this work in March and April, 2020. This entailed fixing broken external links, reorganizing the infobox to match the order of the article, adding external links to credible sources (e.g. The Denver Post), condensing several sections to streamline the article, standardizing his name throughout the article (i.e. "Khalatbari" throughout rather than sometimes using his first name instead), and adding detail about the organizations listed and how Kayvan is or was connected to them.

We are currently in the process of uploading a recent photo to add to his infobox. That will likely be the last revision I will make to Kayvan's page, at least in the short-term. I didn't know Kayvan until this project started and do not have any sort of personal relationship to him or his organizations. The goal of this work was to update and improve the information included in the article. Please let me know if any other information about my work is needed.

Sincerely, HilaryConstable (talk) 01:08, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

My opinion is that there was no way to redeem yourself once everyone saw your very first edit summary, which said, "I reorganized the current content according to what Kayvan would like to see." I give you credit for being very honest, but apparently you are completely unaware that it doesn't matter one bit what your client would like to see. It's not his article. It's Wikipedia's. And what's important is what all (unbiased) Wikipedia editors would like to see as they work together to determine which content belongs in the article. It looks like you are the latest on a growing list of people who were paid to edit this article for your client, and I suspect there will be others after you. My suggestion is to stick what it says at the top of this page: "Individuals with a conflict of interest, particularly those representing the subject of the article, are strongly advised not to directly edit the article... You may request corrections on or suggest content here on the Talk page for independent editors to review". Good luck. 2605:A000:FFC0:D8:90F1:A4A5:A9B:BF9C (talk) 16:35, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
