Date of Birth and Place of Birth.

Where and when was Mr Barber born? What is his age?176.252.92.209 (talk) 16:41, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

DaveBurstein (talk) 10:18, 24 October 2008 (UTC)I removed many items that added little to the substance of the article. For example, after he is described as "Financial Times' U.S. managing editor," I can't see much information value to "with responsibility for the FT's US edition, and for all US news on FT.com." Managing editors usually do things like that. Similarly, after noting he was U.S. editor and DC correspondent from 1986-1992, it doesn't add anything to include "where he covered the end of the Cold War and the first Gulf war as well as two US presidential campaigns." That's what D.C. correspondents do. Similarly, an editor at that level often appears on television, so there's no reason to include "Barber has extensive television and radio experience in both the US and Europe. In the US, he has appeared on ABC, CBS and CNN and was a regular guest on the Diane Rehm radio show. In Europe, he has appeared on Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French and German television." or that he lectures. His son's high school is noy wikipedia material.[reply]
