Table

[edit]

I changed the table format. Do you like it? Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 02:45, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Love it! Nice job. :) ~ Bella Swan? 00:28, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, well I changed the table format again. I think this version is much nicer, and can help us get this list to FA status! Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 06:55, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Review

[edit]

Excellent work. I have some pointers, but feel free to ignore any of them.

  • First of all, this will never be an FA—because it falls under the featured list (FL) criteria.
  • Because this is a single season show, I recommend abolishing the series overview and seasonal ratings sections. Add DVD release dates (when available) and seasonal ratings average to the lead.
  • I would get rid of the weekly ratings section, as rating and share mean little to the average person.
  • Do not be afraid to edit the reference titles to reflect Wikipedia's manual of style.
  • Many of the summaries need to be rewritten as they are copied from other websites.
  • Some publishers are italicized and others are not.

Series overview and season ratings sections have been removed. I removed ratings section, but the page became too bare, maybe later. I think the references are now good. Some summaries are actually original, I'll rewrite the rest soon. Corn.u.co.pia Disc.us.sion 07:23, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I would rename the first section from "Season 1: 2007–2008" to "Episodes", as this is a single-season show. –thedemonhog talkedits 22:21, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have performed a copy edit on the lede

[edit]

I have performed a copy edit on the lede and read the first summary. I rearranged the lede's text and removed the info about CBS being a terrestrial broadcaster. I figure most people know this, or can click on CBS to find out, but mostly I did it because I was having trouble making the sentence's structure please me and removing it was easy. The first summary seemed well written and didn't need to improved. I did not read the other summaries because I might want to watch the show some time (I've seen the pilot) but if they are in need copy editing, I'm not that big of a stickler when it comes to spoilers before watching. - Peregrine Fisher (talk) (contribs) 22:14, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, that's fine. I totally feel the same way and I wouldn't want anyone's Moonlight experience to be spoiled. I'll find another user to do the rest and thanks for your help! P.S. the first few episodes are pretty bad, but they become way better! Corn.u.co.pia Disc.us.sion 00:57, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Depending on the time frame, I can watch and then edit the summaries. Sometimes it takes me a little while though. What's the status of the FL attempt? It seemed to be going well, then it stopped. If you're going to restart it all, there's probably time for me to watch them. - Peregrine Fisher (talk) (contribs) 04:55, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, thanks for offering, but someone else has already copyedited the episodes. The list is almost an FL, I have the support of one editor (the one who performed the copyedit), and I have fixed all the points raised by two others, so they should support the list soon. Thanks anyways! Corn.u.co.pia Disc.us.sion 05:21, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I added the bit about CBS being a terrestrial broadcaster back in. People in America will know this, but people outside may not. It provides useful context for the reader, and there are a few other episode lists and season pages which do this. I also removed the line "This is an episode list for Moonlight". There's no point repeating the title and saying "This is..." -- it's obvious from the article title. As an example, today's main page article, phishing, doesn't start with "This is an article about phishing". Matthewedwards (talk contribs  email) 05:50, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
