Assessment

[edit]

The list looks very good. Are you just waiting to fill in the average weights, or are they not studied? Anyway, the list follows the general format of an existing FL for WP:PRIMATES (List of lemur species), but if you want to take this list to FL, you'll need a more significant lead and some pictures. I still think it would be good to use the new "heading" parameter for the Template:MSW3 Groves so that the numerous references can be distinguished if you just look at the reference list. Otherwise, the importance is set correctly, and there's not much we can do in terms of giving it a class rating without submitting as a FLC. – VisionHolder « talk » 11:44, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I forgot to say that I do not have a good, up-to-date source for the latest listing of New World monkey species, so I can't verify whether or not the list itself is accurate and complete. But in terms of appearance and structure, it looks very good. – VisionHolder « talk » 12:03, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yup. I've added the heading parameter now... I had to let it percolate through my brain for the best way to do it en masse. And when I'm home in June I'll have access to a decent source for NW monkey species. And once I have that source, I'll also be able to craft a better lead. I'll take a look at the lemur list to get a feel for a good balance of pictures. - UtherSRG (talk) 16:49, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Extinct species

[edit]

The key implies that wherever this data came from included extinct species, too, which are actually what just I was looking for. I presume these will be added in the future? 72.130.58.85 (talk) 16:19, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, no one is working on this article at present, so they're not likely to be added soon. I'll remove that from the key for now. I'm sorry the list was misleading. I suggest searching Google Scholar, and I'm sure you can find a few fossil species. If anything, find some reliable sources and bring the information back here, adding the entries yourself. If you need help with the code for tables or references, just post your findings and sources here and I'll help. – Maky « talk » 18:37, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
