Article Name Change

[edit]

Recently a user changed the name of this article and thereafter changed many redirects. There reasoning was "Valkyries only exist in Norse mythology, therefore the "in Norse mythology" portion of the title is redundant" [1]. However, this is not correct; valkyrie names also exist in popular culture. For example, Wagner produced numerous valkyrie names. In addition, it is unclear if a separate valkyrie tradition existed among the Anglo-Saxons. This is why the title is as specific as it is. In my opinion this article should be moved back. :bloodofox: (talk) 16:21, 28 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
