Fair use rationale for Image:FreddieLOMO.jpg

[edit]

Image:FreddieLOMO.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Music Video

[edit]

The music video shows footage from Mercury's 39th birthday party. Do you think this has something to do with the "techno" sound in the song? BulsaraAndDeacon (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 06:14, 24 July 2009 (UTC).[reply]

I would say no. In this article about the club where the video was made, the owner states that he plays every music except house and techno http://muenchen.prinz.de/stadt/stadtleben/paradiso-tanzbar-clubs-ausgehen-stadtleben,250575,1,LocationFinder.html --Dodothegoof (talk) 11:13, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The original version of the song from 1985 has no any "techno sound". --88.195.110.109 (talk) 13:04, 11 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The video was shot in Munich. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.97.86.252 (talk) 08:35, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

dubious Garbo connection?

[edit]

This seems wrong, in the article's header no less:

The song's lyrics reflect Mercury's longstanding admiration for Greta Garbo, whose quotations are featured prominently in the lyrics.

There's a book reference, but I can't check it.

And no mention of what the quotes would be. Garbo was famous for saying "I want to be alone", but that's a thin connection.
