Fine-tuning

Afraid I felt it necessary to tweak some recent edits -

  • Lyon is not the same place as Léon and not in Finistère..
  • Changed 'associated' back to 'identified' because I haven't yet managed to establish (more reading needed!) whether he really was actively Girondist, or just got labelled as such. (Note French WP uses vague englobé) It isn't a perfect solution, but I haven't thought of a better one yet.
  • I can now see that my original link for "refractory" wasn't clear enough, but I don't think the Wiktionary definition covered this, so have added a footnote instead.
  • Have gone back to French département, since in this context I feel it could be confusing to have the less obvious (even in English) spelling - might make people wonder if it's some other kind of department!--HJMG 08:05, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
