The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Max Mayfield/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

The article contains an extremely basic description of Mayfield's life; the article does not even mention when he became the head of the NHC (or even when he joined the NHC, for that matter!), and other important biographical details. Also, more pictures would be nice, particularily the famous picture of him standing in front of a monitor with Hurricane Katrina in the background at peak intensity. Also, ideally, the article should have some sort of bibliography of his works. Titoxd(?!?) 03:14, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
