Song not mentioned in this article

[edit]

I have noticed that the song that was played on the episode (I've Been Everywhere Man) was never mentioned. Unfortunately it was not even mentioned in the credits either. I am almost certain that it is the Johnny Cash version of the song but I have no way to cite it so I don't know if to include it or not.--Natharnio Armarnio (talk) 12:28, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

ERA

[edit]

When Bart is wearing the "E.R.A NOW!" a good cultural reference would be what the shirt means. I'm not sure myself, or else I'd add it. JW 16:10, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ERA refers to the Equal Rights Amendment. --Apple1976 (talk) 09:20, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Time to open the envelope

[edit]

There's a great little segment in this episode, I'm sure it must be a cultural reference to something but I've no idea what.

It's at the beginning when Homer lies under the closing garage door and Bart says to Lisa "Time to open the envelope I gave you" which she does to find a picture of Homer lying there and "This is what will happen".

So is that a Simpsons original, or an allusion to something else? If you know, please add it to the Cultural References section --Mortice 11:50, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article is lacking completely in a list of cultural references found on the episodes

[edit]

Most articles relating to Simpsons episodes have that list. The Uncyclopedian (talk) 18:25, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately they seemed to fade out as time went by. The Simpsons articles have actually become smaller and smaller. I know this because I have been watching them all from the beginning and I normally come here if I am curious about something contained in the episode. You could always spruce them up a bit if you want (or anyone could). :) --Natharnio Armarnio (talk) 12:17, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
