Incomprehensible parts of article

I don't know if it's only me, but there are parts of the article where it seems a little messed up or mixed up. Especially when I got to the part: Classical control representation, it just didn't make sense to me. A little above it says: "The classical washout filter comprises linear low-pass and high-pass filters." And again: "The classical washout filter is simply a combination of high-pass and low-pass filters". Then it says: "Since low-frequency force is dominant in driving the motion base, force is high-pass filtered" That is in itself confusing, but then it goes on: "To identify the tilt of the motion platform, the tilt mechanism first supplies the low-frequency component of force for rotation calculation. Then, the high-frequency component 'f' is used to orient the gravity vector 'g' of the simulator platform:" And that's the main part I don't understand! Low-frequency movement is basically the acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle. High-frequency components are vibrations of the chassis of the vehicle, including vibrations coming from the rough surface of the road for example. But then why are high-frequency components used to determine the gravity vector?! That doesn't make sense to me! Shouldn't it be the other way around???
