Where would one fine an article or section on the multi-choice question format for examinations etc? Is there one? Richard001 04:47, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Radical fringe blog

[edit]

Why is medialternatives.com, self-identified as a fringe blog, being used as the main source of this article, when there are a plethora of solidly mainstream sources available? Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 16:33, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request edit on 15 August 2018

[edit]

I am the originator of the copy for the MultiChoice Wikipedia page (I am employed by the company and have declared this fact). I've been informed of the copyright issues (even though we are the copyright holders) and have been advised not to edit the existing copy but to post my recommendations here. I'd like to suggest that we delete the page so that I can create a new one that will be in keeping with Wikipedia's stipulations. PeterPieglMultiChoice (talk) 10:24, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong venue. Please move to WP:AFD

You can make this request at WP:AFD, but before you do, please do your absolute best to ensure that the article meets the requirements for this process. If in doubt, it's usually best to assume that it doesn't – and then work yourself back towards believing that it does only after a thorough research of the requirements. PeterPieglMultiChoice, there is no reason to delete this article because there was a version that was created without copied content. Please read Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide and work within the recommended processes to post your recommendations for any changes. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 23:34, 24 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

I believe my recent edit of the page should assist with the notability issue. MultiChoice has recently listed on the JSE and there is also the ICASA, KSS issue regarding transfer of broadcasting licence. As an aside, MultiChoice Group includes ShowMax, which has its own Wikipedia page. Might that also be considered for notability? Wyatt Tyrone Smith (talk) 18:37, 1 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In light of the fact that no one has contested notability since my post above on 1 March 2019, I have removed the notability and stubs. Could someone please rerate this page, thanks? Wyatt Tyrone Smith (talk) 17:26, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
In time of notabilities this article even without citations it's notable, a 25000 subscribers per day and 5,000,000 viewers a day, ahhha, that awesome. I know well enwiki isn't a advert place but this one is OK to be here; that's from the viewer crowds voices and choice. This page will just need a little improvement and that is it. Proposed merge of GOtv Africa into MultiChoice

[edit]

merge division into parent company--articlet o be merged has insufficiently reliable sources for a stand alone article DGG ( talk ) 15:44, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yea DGG, it will only be good not be merged, it's a separate operators in the both companies. The maintenance templates will be better for further improvement and quietly it will be improved bcuz am working on it. Much regards (F5pillar---/ 'Messager🖋📩) 20:27, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak oppose – It's true the current GOtv Africa article is lacking, but in my view that's a sign of our poor coverage of the African continent in general. The most preferable approach would be to make that article better. The question isn't whether the article contains sufficient reliable sources, the question (as it will be posed at AfD, should this come up) is: Do sufficient reliable sources exist? "About 2,610,000 results" in a Google search for 'gotv africa' would seem to indicate that they probably do.
Elsewhere, WP:BRANCH was cited as applicable to this proposed merge: It is NOT applicable. A multi-channel satellite TV service covering a large portion of the African continent is not one of "the individual chapters of national and international organizations" (never mind that WP:BRANCH is specific to a section on non-commercial organizations, anyway).
I agree that GOtv Africa is currently very lacking, and it sorely needs improvement. That is possible, though. We can build it, we have the technology. A merge would be a statement that it cannot be expanded, that there is no hope of it becoming an article about a topic of sufficient notability. I'm not inclined to accept that argument. -- FeRDNYC (talk) 00:33, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
FeRDNYC So your opposed is to leave the article with improvement tag right, I accepted your decisions to be keep since more than 2million search results on google. 'respect' (F5pillar---/ 'Messager🖋📩) 10:26, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Strong keep as it is a different operators, logo, works and should be kept since more than 2,6000,000 search in Google. Maintenance tag is OK. (F5pillar---/ 'Messager🖋📩) 07:15, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
