Hard to believe that the man who built the Appalachian Trail, Myron Avery, has escaped Wiki this long! I've started this article and am asking for help from the at-l (the original Appalachian Trail email list at www.backcountry.net )and from the trail community at Whiteblaze (www.whiteblaze.net) ~ TJ aka Teej

This page was almost immediately marked for deletion by Kungfuadam for this reason: "doesn't establish notability". Building the Appalachian Trail isn't notable? ~ TJ aka Teej
