Sean Devine

[edit]

Why is there an Irish flag beside his name when it says he is an 'English footballer'? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.42.11.188 (talkcontribs)

Thanks, I've fixed the Sean Devine article to say he's Irish. -- Wantok 00:45, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Turnbull

[edit]

the Michael Turnbull hyperlink goes to a different guy (some bishop or something), so that needs fixing up, not sure how people want to title that article. Blackmissionary 01:07, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Order of sections

[edit]

The section about the current season probably belongs right after the one about last year's. Former players, etc., should be right at the end. Hard to see how "rumours", by definition, are encyclopaedic. How can they be? After all, they're not verifiable by nature of being rumours. Rlquall 19:04, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Restructuring

[edit]

Hi all. I've restructured this article, according to the guidelines at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football. Please help expand the sections that are empty or lacking in content. Also, please discuss the proposal to merge the article on former players into the 'Noted players' section. Normally, this would only include players who have had a significant impact (e.g. played over 100 games), but with only one season under their belt, most/all former players can be included. Old merge proposal that doesn't appear to have been tagged here or discussed. No opinion. Pairadox 03:49, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of history of the Auckland Kingz/Football Kingz

[edit]

There is a lack of history, considering that they were essentially the same club under the same group of owners but different brand names. When you compare to the Perth Glory, Adelaide United or Newscastle United Jets (all former NSL clubs) wikipedia and even reasonable bits in some of the other A-league teams wikipedia there is a historical context involved. I doubt that the same owners would make another A-league bid, nor I would expect the same brand name will come again. But surely some "meater" history can be introduced as historical context about the club, and not simply be about the "knights" in the A-League but also about the "Kingz" in the NSL. There is hardly much to sink your teeth in about the NSL days. Topsaint (talk) 15:19, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I made a historical link and context to the NSL club Football Kingz translition to A-league club New Zealand Knights, considering that they were in the NSL for 5 seasons compared to 2 seasons in the A-League.added Football Kingz record. As I understand it, there was hardly a few sentences in the Football Kingz to start with in Wikipedia before there was a merge to the New Zealand knight in preparation for the new A-League competition.

Created supplemental article list of Football Kingz F.C. players to link up as well.

There is a need to tidy this up to make it as a historical article on New Zealand first professional football club in the NSL and A-league, despite them being defunct in 2004. There is 7 seasons of history from 1999-2007. It would be nice to have a season by season summary accounts. Topsaint 13:39, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Should The Clubs Be Split In Two

[edit]

While the owners of the Knights brought into the Kingz, for the majority of the Kingz history they were run very differently to the way the Knights were in a completely different football competition. Thus should have their own page ala Queensland/Brisbane Roar who were run until recently as part of a dutch Brisbane winter club. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.176.105.148 (talk) 12:35, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
