POV

[edit]

I added a POV tag, since all the sources are Armenian and clearly biased. It would be also great to confirm that the church is continuously standing from the 15th century, since it is known that the whole town was razed to the earth in the 18th century.--Ymblanter (talk) 21:51, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What exactly makes Armenian sources biased? All I see is a lot of unsourced text here. Karapetyan's book is a good source and the other is a newspaper article. If you can find non-Armenian sources that'd be great. I don't think a French architect historian or a Russian historian has written books about Armenian churches in Tbilisi. I wouldn't consider Georgian sources reliable or non-biased, since their government and their church has been converting Armenian churches to Georgian ones since the early 1990s. And by the way, thank you for uploading the photo of Tumanyan's house in Tbilisi. --Երևանցի talk 01:37, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
What I see is that the article at the moment has almost no info on the architecture of the church and has info on the history with I believe some omissions (see above); instead it has a lot of info about disputes which is not very well sourced. If we want to keep disputes in the article, we need to have both Georgian and Armenian sources, otherwise it is clear POV. For architecture and history, I do not particularly care, be it Armenian, Georgian, Russian (quite possible that they exist, I need to search for them), French or Paraguayan sources, but at the time, they are just not in the article.--Ymblanter (talk) 06:53, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This one looks pretty neutral to me and can become a basis of the dispute section.--Ymblanter (talk) 07:31, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
