Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it is a 600 million dollar business. It is more notable than the OpenEdge Business Language page to which it originally redirected.--2600:1003:B00E:4D53:ECDC:BC4:B770:645 (talk) 17:04, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The article does not say there is anything important or significant about the subject. Those of its sources that aren't perfunctory / generic pages, are just routine business announcements. These sources are not enough to satisfy WP:ORGCRIT. The article needs multiple independent reliable sources with sustained coverage of the subject so as to demonstrate the subject's notability. -Lopifalko (talk) 17:12, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
OpenEdge Advanced Business Language also needs more sources, but the criteria for notability of companies has "a stronger emphasis on quality of the sources" than for an article about a language. -Lopifalko (talk) 17:18, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
