Splitting the subsection about AGR

[edit]

A single subsection (i.e. a part of a section) of this article has become larger than the rest of the article, and much larger than the other subsections. The subsection title is "Architectural gear ratio". The article would look much more user friendly if this part were moved to a new article (see WP:SPLIT). In this article, a short summary would remain, with a link to the "main article" about AGR.

The same kind of splitting was previously performed to reduce the size of the subsection about PCSA. This makes the article more user friendly, as it helps the readers to quickly gain insight about everything. This allows them to easily judge if a relevant sub-topic does or does not deserves more of their attention. After reading the entire article, if the article is short enough, they are free to select a specific topic about which they can learn more in a separate article.

Another advantage of splitting is that a separate article will be available for those who already know about pennate muscles, and only need info about AGR. Paolo.dL (talk) 09:35, 3 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
