Peru–Chile TrenchPeru-Chile Trench – Peru-Chile Trench is an official name that uses a hyphen instead of an en dash. Volcanoguy 20:18, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:56, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Volcanoguy and Vycl1994: WP:OFFICIALNAME, WP:WIAN, and MOS:DASH should be considered here. With regard to article titles, Wikipedia's Manual of style states In article titles, do not use a hyphen (-) as a substitute for an en dash, for example in eye–hand span (since eye does not modify hand). In this case Peru does not modify Chile, e.g, Chile–Peru relations, Chile–Peru football rivalry. Vycl1994 (talk) 22:12, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose for now per Vyc11994. The redirect is in place, and the current title appears to be correct per our style guide. Dekimasuよ! 05:39, 9 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
