Neutrality and edit warring

[edit]

Hi User:Mcmatter, User:Johnlesslie and User:Kane11119,

I arrived at this article while cleaning up spam and vandalism added by one or more paid editors, and I'm certainly not biased towards or against the subject of this article.

I see that you have been editing back and forth. If you get stuck on a point, please involve other editors. For example, you could go to WP:WikiProject Jazz or the Music genres task force for second and third opinions.

I've tried to remove content that is not consistent with an unbiased, non-promotional encyclopedia article. All assertions, especially in biographical articles, need to be backed up in reliable, unbiased sources. Also, note that we don't have to cover every review and performance of an artist in a general-purpose encyclopedia. In other words, verifiability doesn't guarantee inclusion.

I think that the article is now in significantly better shape than it was a while back, and I'm sure we can work together to make sure it only gets better, not worse. --Slashme (talk) 13:54, 5 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Slashme: Thank you for your help. This current round of socks has been blocked for the time being. Your version looks very similar to one I had left before going to bed. - McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 15:49, 5 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Mcmatter: Glad to help! --Slashme (talk) 16:00, 5 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest?

[edit]

This article has been created and maintained by a series of single purpose accounts, a number of which have similar user names, which appears to suggest either the same or similar people using multiple accounts and/or conflict of interest editing. It would be good if these editors could clarify their relationships to one another and to the subject of this article. Until then, I have restored the Conflict of Interest query on the article.
