I looked this up to find out why it is called "duck sauce". I always ask people, "is it made of real ducks??" One would assume that it is meant to be eaten with duck. Anyone have some facts on the etymology? This is so stupid. Yes, it is a sauce for duck. It is an apricot-based sauce, not plum-based, so the two sauces are different, so the articles should NOT be merged!

Duck sauce should be merged into here

Plum sauce and Duck sauce are just the same thing. Most of the contents of the two articles are identical. --Sezna622 (talk) 09:21, 17 March 2014 (UTC) They are not the same thing! Plum sauce is made from plums, not apricots. Duck sauce is made from apricots or peaches. Two different things! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Baron D. Z. I agree and not only that, but if you look at the curry page there is a lot of history to it and the page has a lot of content. I would think that plum sauce also would have a history in cuisine that could be expanded upon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.128.158.228 (talk) 01:04, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
