Cumhurbaşkanlığı Sarayı → Ak Saray – The page was moved here on 6 November 2014. The new name might be official but certainly isn't the most common name in Turkish language, let alone English language publications. It is completely uncomprehensible and impossible to spell out for non-speakers of Turkish. Therefore I propose moving the article back to Ak Saray. PanchoS (talk) 00:47, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Um, okay... without giving any argument, you moved the page rightaway. Still, your proposal doesn't seem to be better. It is quite ambiguous as Çankaya Köşkü has been the presidential palace from 1921 until October 2014.
Now, national as well as international press refers to the new palace as Ak Saray more often than not, so please raise your arguments against Ak Saray and bring a better proposal. --PanchoS (talk) 00:17, 25 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Presidential Complex → Presidential Palace, Ankara – Official name or not, I seriously doubt "Presidential Complex" is WP:COMMONNAME for this palace in English-language publications. Neither is it unambiguous, as "Presidential complex" is occasionally used for other presidential palaces as well, see the references to "presidential complexes" in India, Israel, Somalia, Yemen. -- PanchoS (talk) 13:42, 16 July 2016 (UTC) --Relisting. Because "Presidential Complex" is not the WP:COMMONNAME in English-language sources, compare on Google: "Presidential Complex" Ankara (~26.800) vs. "Presidential Palace" Ankara (~275.000). --PanchoS (talk) 07:22, 17 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: If we are to change this name I would recommend Presidential Complex of Turkey since there's only one presidental house in Turkey. Also, there are some examples where Turkish name is used (like Kızılay Meydanı, not "Kızılay Square"). If this is the case, then we can use Cumhurbaşkanlığı Külliyesi. In another option, Külliye loosely translated as complex, thus we can use Presidential Külliye.--Joseph (talk) 17:49, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Presidential Complex → Presidential Complex (Turkey) – Requesting move of "Presidential Complex" to "Presidential Complex (Turkey)", I think that the title page is too ambiguous and synonymous with Presidential palace. About the Source of Room Number Information[edit]

I would like to discuss the information on the information card, which is stated under the heading "Complex", that the building has 1150 rooms.

There are two links to websites that refer to the relevant sentence in which the phrase is used. They are deprecated as of 7/8/2021, but when checked with the Wayback Machine we see that they have been registered in the past. When I examined the news in the records, I could not see any information about the number of rooms. I ask the editor of the page or the users who have knowledge about this subject to join the discussion.
