This article is to be removed, as per a decision by the school administration. The name 'Providence Country Day' is copyrighted, and thus the school may regulate its use. -Tombrend, at the behest of the school.

Sorry, we don't care what the school thinks. They have no authority here. If you wish to nominate this article for consideration for deletion, please follow the AfD process. You may find it useful to consult WP:SCH. -- zzuuzz (talk) 00:03, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
And the the school can't copyright its name or prevent its name from being used in appropriate contexts. Also pay attention to WP:3RR. Monicasdude 00:05, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The name "Providence Country Day" is copyrighted? Please state how. Tonywalton  | Talk 00:24, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, by the way, This article is to be removed, as per a decision by the school administration doesn't make a lot of sense either. How does "the school administration" come to the conclusion that they have the right to decide what is and isn't on Wikipedia, exactly? Of course, given the record of vandalism on this article all these grandiose claims are very probably a hoax in any case. Tonywalton  | Talk 00:29, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, talk page blanked by User:Samael775 per [1]. Samael775 admits at [2] For the record, I haven't been defacing wikipedia in a while,. Grow up, chaps. Tonywalton  | Talk 00:45, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I only have communicated what I was told. The school has contacted the Wikimedia Foundation directly. -Tombrend

Who put up that mission statement crap? -Samael775

The school has published a document banning students from writing "PCD", "Providence Country Day" or any other reference to the school, as well as a ban on drawing Knights or any other visual representation of the school. -70.167.20.17

I would like to mention that I was told that if I did not write that the article was supposed to be deleted, disciplinary action was to be taken against me. -Tombrend (talk) 00:08, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article sources

[edit]

I have removed the unreferenced tag, as all information comes from the minds and memories of myself and samael775. -68.230.150.72 22:14, 2 May 2006 (UTC) (Tombrend, not bothering to log in)[reply]

Unfortunately, the minds and memories of two editors are not acceptable sources under official Wikipedia policy. Content must be verifiable - that is Facts, viewpoints, theories, and arguments may only be included in articles if they have already been published by reliable and reputable sources. Please cite your sources. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 22:22, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you would like to contest that the author of a play is not a credible source to state the subject of the play, et cetera, you, sir, are an idiot. -68.230.150.72 02:38, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The main issue is that the article needs to be brought up to quality standards. It reads unprofessionally. Also see ACLU.

List of Admins

[edit]

Should we really have a list of admins and department heads? The only one it makes sense mentioning is Kathleen Hughes (author) since she is a published author, and maybe the head of school. Samael775 22:44, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say that it's fairly relevant. Is Kaufman head of the language department? -Tombrend (talk) 00:07, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
