Synthesis

[edit]

The reagents claimed for QL synthesis are just plain nonsense. I encourage people who have (apparently) never studied the organic synthesis literature to refrain from cutting and pasting nonsense. I don't think it is useful or wise to have directions on how to manufacture a WMD on Wikipedia. Why not just state that QL *can be* synthesized (and likely is, but I don't know how anyone making it did or does actually make it) using a trialkylphosphonite and an aminoalcohol? There is exactly zero reason to go into the specifics, and what makes it worse (I thought about this being an intentional red-herring, and concluded that any college sophomore who passed organic chemistry 201 would see it for the nonsense it is, so decided it was a simple ignorant blunder by a well-meaning Editor who was out of his/her depth), there is no reason to have the WRONG reagents, in fact afaics there's no reason to have a Synthesis section, at all.174.130.70.61 (talk) 17:28, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
