Merging Canadian federal election, 2015 result into Results of the Canadian federal election, 2015

[edit]

Same topic, seems like a pretty standard thing to do. Already pasted in the party section from Results of the Canadian federal election, 2015 into Canadian federal election, 2015 result. – Hshook (talk) 09:40, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Where did the "detailed results" table go? It is not on either page now — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikemikem (talkcontribs) 10:38, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't see anything like that but I would think it would be in the edit history section somewhereHshook (talk) 10:56, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Actually I can see now I accidentally removed that, it's back now. – Hshook (talk) 10:59, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I absolutely agree with the merger. Chuborno (talk) 15:16, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Let's do the merger already. Kndimov (talk) 15:11, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A bit off topic but a recount has been ordered for Edmonton Mill woods. Which page/section should that be noted? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikemikem (talkcontribs) 19:41, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Merge it back already. What nonsense is this. Nickjbor (talk) 23:19, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I would have done it already but an admin is needed to put the new content over old content. – Hshook (talk) 11:16, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'll actually make the case for merging both of these articles back into the main election article, as the latter already has the summary and detailed results tables. Most Canadian election articles (or at least the recent ones) contain the analysis paragraphs and results by province, and it's hardly as if they are unreadably long as a result. (I guess there is the "notional gains" table which is unique here, though I don't think this justifies an entire new article, and past election articles also have lists of targeted ridings, which are similar length-wise.)
