New Hampshire primary results

[edit]

Joe Biden has won the New Hampshire Democratic primary by a landslide.[1] That should be added to this page. 174.130.47.140 (talk) 02:56, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Waiting until all votes are counted

[edit]

I don't think it is necessary to wait for votes to be counted but I'm opening this discussion. ~Politicdude (About me, talk, contribs) 05:57, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Obviously I agree, I think it's useful to have a somewhat updated results page. Esolo5002 (talk) 05:59, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Other and Uncommitted should be separate

[edit]

"Other" refers to any candidates besides Biden and the other main two. "Uncommitted" is referred to as an organized anti-Biden campaign, and not the same. Personisinsterest (talk) 11:41, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Megasteel32 (talk) 22:38, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
[2]In case people still wanna argue about blank votes not being uncommitted. Megasteel32 (talk) 06:03, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Primaries from Super Tuesday and the 6th

[edit]

Is anyone going to add up the results from the primaries on Super Tuesday and March 6th? Dogperson160 (talk) 22:53, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

California is not even close to done so I think it makes sense to wait. Esolo5002 (talk) 23:14, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Kansas

[edit]

Is there a reason Kansas is organized into congressional districts on the map instead of counties like the other states? I can see that the map on the previous election had it with counties before Faustino Sojo (talk · contribs) changed it to districts for unexplained reasons. 203.211.79.73 (talk) 02:38, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Uncommitted versus blank ballots

[edit]

*sigh* , should blank ballots be included under Uncommitted or should they be covered under other? Esolo5002 (talk) 04:40, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Other. A quote from the source provided above in another thread says it best - "It is unclear how many of the blank ballots came from protesters." I often leave my ballot blank for certain races, and it's never in protest of anything. --Spiffy sperry (talk) 15:10, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Spiffy sperry You show up to a primary race for one person and leave a blank ballot? Megasteel32 (talk) 16:26, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Do you know if this was the only race on the ballot in Georgia? In my primary last month, there were plenty of races besides the presidential primary. It is not hard to imagine other reasons for showing up to a primary and leaving one of the races blank. You appear to be assuming the motives of 6,429 Georgian voters, in a case of original research that goes against the citation you provided above. --Spiffy sperry (talk) 16:35, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Spiffy sperry Yes, I'm a Georgia voter lol. Megasteel32 (talk) 16:37, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Spiffy sperry If it's not so hard to imagine, then what are those reasons? Megasteel32 (talk) 16:37, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If I have little or no information on the candidates or if the race is uncontested. In my case, there were local races that I had no idea were on the primary ballot until I got into the voting booth. But this is not about me. This is about determining the motives for these blank ballots in GA. Again, from the source you provided, "It is unclear how many of the blank ballots came from protesters." If your primary ballot had no race other than the presidential race, then that is a start, but it is not complete. How about the hundreds of other jurisdictions? Don't you see how this is getting into original research territory? --Spiffy sperry (talk) 17:51, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Esolo5002 There is no reason to turn in a blank ballot asides from protesting. From the other thread: ""Other" refers to any candidates besides Biden and the other main two. "Uncommitted" is referred to as an organized anti-Biden campaign, and not the same." Personisinsterest (talk) 11:41, 5 March 2024 (UTC) Megasteel32 (talk) 16:24, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Map Legend

[edit]

I'm sorry, but why is Frankie Lozada in the map legend? Did he get any delegates? I've got nothing against him personally, but it seems pretty arbitrary to give him a spot while leaving out other candidates who received more votes than he did. Marianne Williamson doesn't even have a spot and she's arguably in third (or fourth if you consider Jason Palmer's win in American Samoa as propelling him into second place) behind Biden and Phillips. Did someone from the Lozada campaign edit the map legend? Just saying. 66.91.36.8 (talk) 09:40, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It is due to Loving County, Texas, where Lozada received one vote. It happened to be the only vote there, thus giving him 100% in that county. --Spiffy sperry (talk) 14:49, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

tally

[edit]

why is there no tally of pledged delegates in the table? 21:29, 24 May 2024 (UTC)

There is. The total row has yellow shading, is near the bottom of the table, and currently says "Totals as of April 28". In general, this row is intended to move down as state results are certified and added into the total. As a result, this row does not include recent elections, where the counting is incomplete. --Spiffy sperry (talk) 22:23, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
