"China story"?

[edit]

The article says : "The film was based on an original screenplay by Pearl S. Buck called China Story". However, I was only able to find Buck's novel called Satan Never Sleeps. Is there a reliable source that says the original screenplay was called China Story? Happyseeu (talk) 17:29, 3 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That section was added back in December 2013 here. The original source was [1] which has now is next to "The film was shot in England and Wales" text. Do you have a way to verify The Last Films of 50 Great Directors? If no one can, we can delete it altogether or add a citation needed tag. Mike Allen 21:03, 3 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
