Why can I not find any information on which side of the car has a higher chance of being hit? Side-impact only. The drivers side?? Or the passanger side?? If I have 2 car seats and put one in the middle- which side is the safer side for the 2nd carseat??

This article cotains the following: "These crashes often occur at intersections, in parking lots, when two vehicles pass on a multi-lane roadway." This idea might come from https://www.moseleycollins.com/side-impact-collision.html which stand that "The main occurrence of side impact car crashes happen in: intersections, parking lots, when two vehicles pass on a multi-lane road, and when a vehicle hits a stationary object." These does not seam to be simultaneous condition but alternate condition which can lead to a side impact.

Random list and notability

The article has two baffling lists of cars , preceded by the following

"These are lists of cars with notable aspects of side impact."

So, what are the grounds for inclusion in these short and badly structured lists? Greglocock (talk) 05:38, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The text describes the notability criteria for recent cars: good or poor protection, most sold cars etc. The reader can choose any column to sort by criteria, so the reader chooses his/her own interpretation of the list.
If enough entries are added, the lists could be split into separate criteria. Fx one list for the highest protection, another list for the lowest, another for the most improved safety (the purpose of the test system), another for the highest production numbers. Surely side impact is far more common than side collision, unless the latter is a formal term I just haven't seen? I think T bone is more common than either. Greglocock (talk) 00:55, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
