quick assessment do not be put off. Look at other schools and raise a page for the most famous Tafts (if not already there!)Victuallers 14:33, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Added clean-up tag. The article is rambling and starts with sentences that don't make sense in their particular place. Ronels talk 18:36, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

This article has some NPOV and relevancy issues. It reads less like an encyclopedia article and more like a story (eg: "But how to justify to the rest of the school Charles' absence?"). I question the relevancy of the Tafts' family lives in relation to the article and suggest it be turned into an article of its own, if it is noteworthy. Otherwise it should be deleted.

This article completely lacks citations even where there are quotations. Many of the more superlative claims should be referenced or deleted. Nbruschi 21:22, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think your pictures are much too big ... try narrowing the page and seeing how it looks Victuallers 14:35, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Taft.gif

[edit]

Image:Taft.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Notable Alumni

[edit]

I just subdivided the Notable Alumni Page for ease of navigation. If this list gets any larger (which I am sure it will) perhaps it should be moved to its own, separate page. (see e.g., list of Hamilton College people. Any thoughts?Burnsie510 (talk) 00:28, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

History

[edit]

It appears that the History section of this article is lifted directly from the schools website. I have cited to the site currently, but this is likely in violation of copyrights. Burnsie510 (talk) 04:09, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
