Why does "Ted Olson" direct here instead of the solicitor general? This guy pitched a whole 18 games? Who cares? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.183.171.30 (talk) 17:57, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ted OlsonTed Olson (baseball) – I have no doubt that Theodore Olsen is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for the name "Ted Olson." Compare his 11,421 views last month to the baseball player's 677 (and how many of those people typed in "Ted Olson" expecting the attorney?). What I'm not sure of is whether Theodore Olsen should remain at that title, with Ted Olson redirecting there, or if he should be moved there altogether. The Ted form is more prevalent, but Theodore is also frequently used (for comparison: "ted olson" -wikipedia "theodore olson" -wikipedia; note that for the former, you have to get more than halfway down the second page before the baseball player is mentioned). I'm sure there are precedents for this sort of situation, but I can't think of any. Feel free to oppose, of course, but if you support my basic idea, please indicate whether you'd prefer Ted Olson to redirect to the attorney or to be the article title. --BDD (talk) 00:55, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
