Seasons

[edit]

The original Presskit from Halifax Film [3] the first season only lists 7 episodes and not 12 as changed by Nicola Romani. There is also a major change in actors after episode 7 when Claudette Mink (Episodes 1 to 7) is replaced by Sonya Salomaa (episodes 8 to 22). If any changes are made to the episode list again, please add supporting documentation for the change. —Preceding unsigned comment added by CaviaPorcellus (talkcontribs) 16:41, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The final Presskit from Halifax Film [4] states the following "The Guard returns with a new season of 15 one-hour episodes on October 29 in its new timeslot Wednesday at 10 PM on Global TV." These refer to episodes 8 to 22. From this statement, there is an indicatation that episodes 8 to 22 constitute a second season. Yet they were shown on global TV in two distinct series. Episodes 8 to 14 constituting one series in the period 29 October 2008 to 10 December 2008. Then there is a waiting period of over five months until 18 May 2009 when the last series begins with episode 15, and ends with episode 22 on 6 July 2009.

Despite the press releases from Halifax Film being inconsistent in their discription of the seasons, I would suggest that most viewers regard the series as consisting of three distinct seasons, and not two. —Preceding unsigned comment added by CaviaPorcellus (talkcontribs) 17:08, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The following statement supporting season 2 beginning on 29 October 2008 was found on the Halifax Film website [5]

Lionsgate Announces Sale Of The Guard Posted October 9th, 2008 "THE GUARD season II premieres on Global Television Wed, Oct 29."

In other words, any renumbering of season numbers by Halifax Films has occurred after the fact.
