refugee transport 10/1950?

[edit]

If possible I would like to find out if this ship was used to transport my family in October, 1950 from Germany to New York? Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.11.140.203 (talk) 16:29, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

USS General Harry Taylor (AP-145)USNS General Hoyt S. Vandenberg (T-AGM-10) – final name of the ship, and name used for the reef when she was sunk, so still the name of the ship; also her service as radar and communications ship is more significant than her history as a transport. She served longer as the Vandenberg than any other name. --Relisted.  — Amakuru (talk) 09:32, 21 October 2013 (UTC) -- 65.92.181.39 (talk) 10:19, 30 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
