Forgive me if I am wrong, but is the sketch not called the Upper Class Twit of the Year Competition? --Chewy

None of them is wearing a pin-stripe suit. They're in tweeds / single-breasted sports jackets and very fetching it looks too!

In the televised version...

[edit]

In the original version, the part of the "competition" after the bar featured only four rabbits tied down, four mannequins from which the bras were to be removed, and four pistols with which to claim victory... despite starting off with five contestants (but Oliver "ran himself over - What a great twit!"). 147.70.242.40 20:08, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Question?

[edit]

I love the skit, but I've never quite understood what's meant by Gervaise being in "The Guards". I'm guessing it's a military regiment of some variety, but which one? HandsomeSam57 (talk) 22:22, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

https://www.householddivision.org.uk/the-guards I think it's just a general dig on the fact such people often have some vague military background yet never really see any action (such as our royal family...).

Vivian's qualification

I thought it was 'camel hygiene'? 51.52.43.171 (talk) 14:32, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
