I think it's very curious that such a huge Russian singing star ("the Russian Madonna") doesn't have an article on the Russian-language Wikipedia, at least not that I could find.

I removed most of the external links—the Independent article is based on a fake blog post (see the typepad link; if you go to the main blog page from that post, you'll see where they admit it was made up to promote the artist). Her UK website and record label site are both prominently linked off of the front page of her main website (valeriya.net) so there's no real reason to include them here. —Hello, Control Hello, Tony 16:41, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also—maybe an admin can confirm this—it seems likely to me that the deleted version of this article was created by User:Silencelondon, an online ad agency. —Hello, Control Hello, Tony 16:51, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Why does a google search for "Mariinskiy Order" only turn up pages talking about Valeriya being awarded it? Hasn't anyone else ever gotten one? —Hello, Control Hello, Tony 16:01, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
