"Featuring guest appearances by the Charlie Daniels Band, whom pays much of their success to Vassar." [sic!]
In English, please.

"The Beverly Hillbillies Theme" reference

[edit]

The article states that "the Scruggs-Clements duet achieved some recognition playing the theme to the television sitcom The Beverly Hillbillies".

I think the author might have meant the "Flatt and Scruggs" duo; Flatt and Scruggs had a popular bluegrass band at that time, but I can find no evidence that Vassar Clements played fiddle on that number. I know that, in the Flatt and Scruggs at Carnegie Hall album, he was not their fiddle player (though I wish he had been).

I see a few search results for the two. The entry doesn't mean he was a part of the song on the television show, but received some attention while playing it live in concert in the 70s.--☾Loriendrew☽ (ring-ring) 20:47, 1 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
