Fun, but historically inaccurate

[edit]

Without going into detail, one must wonder if the writers had any real familiarity with the history of Victoria and Albert. They even got the background of their relationship wildly wrong. I know because my great, great, great grandfather actually introduced them and arranged their ultimate marriage. He was a close advisor to both of them, but returned to Coburg after Albert's death. Of course, he was entirely omitted from the script.

Good production, but inadequate research and writing went into this series. It is a benefit to history that it was canceled after three seasons. 73.78.140.219 (talk) 02:41, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yet The Crown continues and I've heard people identify some major clangers of history in that one. Victoria was never meant to be a documentary and anyone who bases a study of history on any entertainment production really needs to reexamine the way they do research. And the series hasn't been officially cancelled as Goodwin has written Series 4. It's on a hiatus which is not uncommon for British TV productions (granted when Doctor Who was put on hiatus by the BBC in 1989 the hiatus lasted for 16 years). 23skidoo (talk) 15:19, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Series 2/3 soundtrack

[edit]

Article says Amazon released the second soundtrack but I can find nothing online - including Amazon's website - to suggest a release occurred. Maybe it was cancelled? Or maybe it was only issued digitally like Series 1 was originally before a CD quietly came out a year later. I'm not going to add a "fact check" tag to the soundtrack section, but maybe someone more in the know can update or confirm? 23skidoo (talk) 15:22, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
