Marianne Katoppo

[edit]
  • ... that Marianne Katoppo, who wrote the book Compassionate and Free. An Asian Woman's Theology, found the term feminist theology "too loaded"?

Created by Gerda Arendt (talk). Self-nominated at 17:18, 14 December 2015 (UTC).

Article is new enough. QPQ done. No pic to review. I added a non-free pic. I don't understand the sentence "A reviewer summarized the goal of the book envisions for a woman in a society dominated by men". Can that be reworded please? The hook is correctly formatted but the article doesn't say why she found the term too loaded. I think we need to tell readers in the article if we are to tease them with it in the hook. The article is a bit short, only just meeting the 1500 characters if the quote towards the end is included, so could be expanded a little. I detected no close paraphrasing or copyvios. AGF on the offline sources. Philafrenzy (talk) 22:31, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
Thank you, also for the image! Sorry that I have other topics right now (Christmas and Easter). I would not know how to word "why" she felt that. Both the writer and the book reviewer are so much better in English than I am, - then my refuge is quote. What do you think of being co-author? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gerda Arendt (talkcontribs) 23:24 17 December 2015
I don't think the roles of reviewer and author sit well together Gerda. I have already edited it more than I should have done! Have a go at it. Philafrenzy (talk) 23:27, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
What I meant: be an author, let some else review it. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:18, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
I have already reviewed it Gerda. Are you going to have a try fixing it? There's not much wrong with it that a small expand and rewording won't solve. Philafrenzy (talk) 11:29, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
Nothing wrong with you reviewing and switching to author. The same thing was done at Template:Did you know nominations/Übers Gebirg Maria geht. I have no time, sorry, need to polish a Christmas cantata, am behind for one for New Year, in the process of fixing today Beethoven's Academy, on the anniversary, + real life. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:52, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
@Philafrenzy and Gerda Arendt: Edited the "too loaded" in the article. It should work now. Also edited "A reviewer summarized the goal of the book envisions for a woman in a society dominated by men" named the reviewer, and explained that she was talking about Katoppo's view of the virgin Mary as the ideal. — Maile (talk) 21:58, 24 December 2015 (UTC)
I am going to AGF on the theological interpretation and tick it. Philafrenzy (talk) 23:19, 24 December 2015 (UTC)
